Greg Alan - Sports Director
My tenure with KFMO/B104 began in Sept. of 2000. I arrived in Park Hills via Lynchburg, VA where I spent one season in minor league baseball with the Lynchburg HillCats, then a single-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. That was my fifth state in five years in which I resided. Prior to that, I worked in a similar capacity to what I do now at an AM/FM combo station in Fairbury, NE calling high school as well as NAIA college games. I am a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI and began my radio career at 620-AM, WTMJ (Milwaukee’s version of KMOX).
I started out as a producer of a nightly sports talk show hosted by Len Kasper, current play-by-play voice of the Chicago Cubs on WGN. By the end of my tenure I had moved to doing daily afternoon sports as well as morning sports on Saturday as was also the occasional fill-in host for Brewers Live, a nightly call-in show after the game. I spend most of the year, Aug-May involved with the high school scene and in the summer can usually be found on a baseball field.
I have been an umpire since 1989, certified since 1999 as a graduate of the Wendelstedt School for Umpires located in Daytona Beach, FL. I was born and raised in Cleveland, OH and continue to support our three highly successful teams that call Cleveland home. I live in Park Hills with my wife Laci and our cat, Little Guy.
Join me every day for sports reporting you can count on, only on KFMO and our sister station, B104-FM.
