Washington, D.C. (KFMO) - Gas prices are continuing to climb across the country, putting more pressure on drivers heading into the fall.
According to Trilby Lundberg of the Lundberg Survey, the national average price of gasoline has increased 17 cents over the past three weeks, reaching about $4.32 per gallon. Lundberg says oil prices are expected to continue increasing, which could mean additional pain at the pump for drivers in the weeks ahead.
Missouri drivers are paying somewhat less than the national average. The statewide average is currently near $3.97 per gallon.
The average price in St. Francois County is also $3.97 per gallon.
Drivers could continue to see fluctuations at the pump as changes in oil prices work their way through the gasoline market.
