Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - Another Desloge Labor Day Picnic is officially in the books, with organizers calling this year’s event a success despite weather concerns throughout the weekend.
Desloge Chamber Executive Director Cheri Henderson says the weather did not prevent people from coming out and enjoying the annual community celebration the whole weekend.
Henderson says the event also featured a large number of vendors, giving attendees plenty of opportunities to shop, eat and support local businesses and organizations.
In addition to the picnic's vendors and activities, Henderson says several of the event's other attractions also saw strong attendance. Those activities included live musical performances, the Movie in the Park, a car show and a cornhole tournament.
Henderson says the strong turnout for those events helped make this year's Labor Day Picnic another successful community celebration.
