Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The Jefferson County Juvenile Office has filed charges against three juveniles in connection with the death of 16-year-old Gabbriana Boyster, whose body was discovered inside her Hillsboro-area home on July 11.
The charges are the result of the homicide investigation launched after deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence in the 7900 block of Tower Road and found Boyster suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Investigators have said they believe the shooting occurred the evening before the victim was discovered and that her body remained in the home for several hours.
According to the Jefferson County Juvenile Office, one juvenile has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, a Class C felony; unlawful use of a weapon resulting in death, a Class A felony; armed criminal action, an unclassified felony; and abandonment of a corpse, a Class E felony.
Two additional juveniles have each been charged with one count of abandonment of a corpse, a Class E felony.
Officials say the juvenile charged with the homicide-related offenses remains in the custody of the Jefferson County Juvenile Office. The other two juveniles have been released.
Because all three defendants are juveniles, their identities have not been released by authorities.
The investigation into Boyster's death remains ongoing.
