Wednesday is Deadline to Register to Vote for Missouri’s August Primary Election

Jefferson City, Mo. (KFMO) - Missourians planning to vote in the Tuesday, August 4, 2026, Primary Election have until Wednesday, July 8, to register to vote.

State law requires eligible voters to be registered no later than the fourth Wednesday before an election. Anyone who has recently moved, changed their name, or has not previously registered should ensure their voter registration is current before the deadline.

Eligible Missouri residents can register through their local election authority or, if they have a Missouri driver's license or state-issued identification card, may register or update their registration online.

Voters who are already registered are encouraged to verify their registration information before Election Day to help avoid any issues at the polls.

The Missouri Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
