Parkland Heat Prompts Changes to Local Sports Practices

Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - As the hot weather continues across the Parkland, local sports teams are making adjustments to help keep athletes safe. North St. Francois County Athletic Director Dan Harris explains how schools are dealing with the heat.

Harris details some of the guidelines schools have to follow during practice and game time, including modifications designed to help athletes manage the extreme temperatures.

Harris says those modifications will continue until the extreme heat subsides.
