Three-Vehicle Crash on US-67 in Jefferson County Leaves Two Injured

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A three-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on US-67 at Montauk Drive in Jefferson County resulted in serious injuries to one driver and minor injuries to another.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred at approximately 4:18 p.m. September 1 on northbound US-67. According to the patrol's crash report, a 2006 Chrysler Town & Country, driven by a 64-year-old Cadet woman, was stopped at the intersection of Montauk Drive and US-67. Investigators say the woman failed to yield to northbound traffic.

The front of a 2025 Dodge ProMaster 3500, driven by a 21-year-old Festus man, struck the driver's side of the Chrysler. Following the initial collision, the ProMaster began skidding and sliding into southbound traffic. The front of the van then struck the driver's side of a 2012 Ford F-550, driven by a 41-year-old Park Hills man.

The Chrysler and both other vehicles were reported as totaled and were towed from the scene. 

The 64-year-old Cadet woman suffered serious injuries and was transported by air to Mercy Hospital St. Louis. The 21-year-old Festus man suffered minor injuries and was transported by the Valley Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital South. The 41-year-old Park Hills man was not listed as injured in the patrol's report.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says all three drivers were wearing safety devices.
