St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department is continuing its investigation into a fatal shooting on Worley Road in Farmington.
Sheriff Jeff Crites says the incident was very tragic.
Crites says situations like this can also affect the deputies who respond.
The sheriff’s department previously reported that deputies were dispatched to a disturbance and welfare check in the 3100 block of Worley Road shortly before midnight Friday. Two adults, identified as the homeowners and a husband and wife, were found dead inside the residence.
Two male children were found unharmed and safely removed from the home.
The sheriff’s department says the incident appears to be an isolated domestic incident, and there is no active threat to the community. The investigation remains ongoing.
