Two Drivers Injured in Rear-End Crash on MO-185 in Washington County

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Washington County left both drivers injured.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 3:23 p.m. on Missouri 185 at River Birch Road. The patrol says a 34-year-old Sullivan man was driving a 2026 Ford Explorer southbound behind a 58-year-old Sullivan woman in a 2016 Nissan Sentra. The Sentra driver began slowing because deer were crossing the roadway.

The patrol says the Explorer driver was inattentive to the road ahead and allowed the front of the Explorer to strike the rear of the Sentra.

Both drivers suffered moderate injuries. The Explorer driver was transported to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital by the Sullivan Fire Protection District, while the Sentra driver was transported by the Washington County Ambulance District.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
