Knights of the Square Table Chess Club

Club meets from 6-9pm on the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Thursday of each month at Panera's Restaurant in Farmington and 4-6pm on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Farmington Public Library. All players are welcome and if you can, please bring your chessboard.

First Thursday Chicken & Dumpling Dinner

It's " No Cook Thursday" Chicken & Dumpling Dinner the first Thursday of each month, at Knights of Columbus, Bonne Terre #1088 3:30pm-6:30pm at the meeting hall, 7897 Berry Road. dinner comes with green beans, cole slaw, cinnamon applesauce and a selection of homemade desserts. Adults $7, Children $3.50. Everyone welcome.

St. Francois County Historical Society

Hear ye Hear, come one, come all  to the St. Francois County Historical Society August meeting, 7pm at the Farmington Fire Station Meeting Room, Jerry Rawlings with MO Army National Guard in Farmington 1970-2000. Refreshments: Jon Cozean/Stephen & Sarah Slinkard.

Poker Run

Elvins Food Pantry will have their 4th annual "Hit the Highway for Hunger" Poker Run. Registration will be from 8am-10am at Desloge WalMart parking lot. Great prizes for 1st and 2nd place winners along with a 50/50 drawing. Cost is $15 for first hand and $10 for each additional hand. Motorcycles, Jeeps, Cars and Trucks are welcome to participate. All proceeds go to Elvins Pantry to help feed those in need.  Call Randy at 573-315-8205 for more info

Comedy Night with Dan Kulp as seen on Good Morning America, featuring Linda May, at Open Heart Assembly, 1803 N. Washington Ave. in Farmington. Free admission. Doors open at 6:30pm.

Trivia Night

Yeah Baby!!!! Trivia Night at Farmington American Legion Post #416, 1604 W. Columbia Street...$20 per person or $150 per table, advanced payment...pay online at parklandprc.com or mail to Parkland PRC Attn: Trivia Night, 815 E. Main Street, Park Hills, MO 63601...or $160 at the door for 8 players a table. All proceeds help support Parkland Pregnancy Center.

Gospel Singing

Gospel Singing  with Dyle Hobson will be held at Esther Methodist Church, Sixth and Jefferson in Park Hills, 6pm.Refreshments following.

Archaeology Day

Washington State Park from 10am-3pm with the Missouri Archaeological Society - Threes Rivers Chapter.Booths, Demostrations, Archaeology Activities and Concessions. Birds of Prey Display by World Bird Sanctury. For more info contact the park office 636-586-5768.

75th Annual Fall Festival

St. Joseph Church, Bonne Terre Fall Festival 11am-5pm.Fried Chicken, Kettle Beef, Liver Dumplings & all sides, adults $10, children under 12 $5, air conditioned hall, country store, vendor booths, games of chance, beer garden, concessions, free crafts for children, raffles, live music, Route 67 from 12:30pm-4:30pm, and this year Hit & Miss Ice Cream Co will be selling homemade ice cream and frozen treats.

10th Annual Fall Harvest Festival

Washington State Park from 10am-4pm, Big River Day Use Area- Shelter #2. Handmade Items and Craft Fair, food concessions, musical entertainment, hay rides, guided Petroglyph Tour at 2pm, Interpretive Kid Crafts and Nature Displays. Registered campers and cabin guests will have trick or treating in the campground from 6-7pm.
