Farmington VFW Post 5896 is hosting Bingo every Thursday. The $6 entrance fee includes bingo cards! Doors open at 3:30 pm. Event games and pull tab sales start at 4:00 pm. For more information call 573-756-1695 or 573-756-8852.

Chicken and Dumpling Dinner

Knights of Columbus #1088 will be serving chicken and dumplings the first Thursday of every month. Offering carryout only at this time.

Adults-$8.00, Kids- (6-10) $4.00

Food Pantry

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Park Hills host a public food pantry each Friday from 7:30 AM until 9:30 AM.

UniTec Food Drive

The UniTec Career Center is helping those in need by holding their annual food drive October 11 through Dec. 10.

They will be accepting cash, check, canned and non-perishable items. Any check donations need to be made payable to SAVE-A-LOT, Bonne Terre, MO.

Donations of $100 or more will receive Daily Journal & UniTec Social Media recognition.

JKK Inheritance Haven Fundraising Events


12/31/2021     New Year's Eve Light Up, YMCA Trout Lodge, Potosi, MO

I don't have a time frame other than through the midnight timeline for celebrating New Years. JKK will have the same items: children's fidgets, light ups, and inflatables. Proceeds support the JKK ministry and we will again be raising awareness about human trafficking.

All the above listed events are family friendly with children included. 

Park Hills Chamber Cares Holiday Drive

From November 1, 2021 through Dec 21, 2021, the Park Hills Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their 8th Annual Chamber Cares Holiday Drive which will benefit the SEMO Family Violence Council. 

They will be collecting: Diapers, trash bags, bleach, Tylenol and Feminine hygiene products.

A Berry Merry Christmas

East Bonne Terre Baptist Church will be hosting the 26th annual "A Berry Merry Christmas", featuring the Berry Brothers with family and friends on Sunday, December 12th, at 6:00 PM. 

Light Up Bismarck Competition

Bismarck's Light Competition, "Light up Bismarck," is back and brighter than ever with $2000 in prize money. A competition that began last year as an opportunity to bring Christmas cheer to the town has now become an annual tradition. 

Prizes will be forwarded as follows: 1st place-$650; 2nd place-$450; 3rd place-$350; 4th place-$250; 5th place-$150. Also, the business with the best Christmas lights will receive $150, a custom traveling trophy and bragging rights.

Judging will take place the evening of Saturday, December 11.  

Park Hills Christmas Tree Decorating Contest

The Downtown Park Hills Association will be hosting a Christmas Tree Decorating Contest that will be open to everyone!

You can vote Dec. 10-Dec. 22 by clicking "Like" on the photo of your favorite Christmas tree on the DPHA's Facebook page.

The winner, which will be announced December 23, will receive bragging rights and a Unique Snow Globe. 

Ste. Genevieve Community Center's Christmas Fair

Date: Saturday, December 11

Time: 8:00 am-1:00 pm

Cost: One table is $35. Two tables are $55

Deadline for registration is Friday, November 20

On Dec. 11 vendors from various companies will be present to sell all the unique holiday gifts they offer. Admission is FREE. If you are interested in being a vendor, please email sbuehler@sgccc.com. Spots do fill quickly. 

Holiday Happenings in Park Hills

Carol-oke: At the Christmas in Our Hometown in downtown Park Hills you will have the opportunity to participate in Carol-oke! (Karaoke) All ages are welcome! Just sign up at the state on the day of the event. It will be held from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm and there will be a prize for the winner.   

Breakfast with Santa: From 8:00am-10:00 am Santa will be able to be found at The Factory Diner!

Beard Decorating Contest: Sign up the day of the event at the stage to participate. This is open to all ages and there will be a prize for first place! The fun begins at 4:00 pm.

Hot Chocolate Topping Bar: From 10 am until dusk, stop by the Park Hills Senior Center, visit Ms. Holly and crew and take advantage of a great photo opportunity before you head to the main events or on your way home!

Christmas Cash: There will be a Christmas Cash 50/50 Raffle held. Enter by December 3rd. The drawing will be held on December 6th. The cost is $1 each or 6 tickets for $5. You could win some extra cash to spend for Christmas while helping raise funds for Paula's Playground!!! 

Christmas Cake Fun Run

The event starts at 10 am and you can sign up the day of the event at the stage.

Eat one Christmas Tree Cake then run a quarter mile. Repeat three more times. The fastest time with all cakes consumed wins!

If you can not consume more cake but still want to run, you must drop one of your bracelets.

Christmas in our Hometown

On Dec. 11 the Downtown Park Hills Association will present Christmas in Our Hometown. It will be held on West Main Street in Park Hills between Community Drive and Coffman Street. 

There will be live music, vendors, food trucks, carolers, actors, meet Santa and more.
