Gilster Mary Lee Corporation

Gilster Mary Lee Corporation is hiring CDL drivers for their growing and busy fleet. They will train those without experience and continue to hire qualified drivers year round. Gilster has dropped the age to 18 for local drivers and will pay for training. They operate a private fleet with a terminal right here in Southeast Missouri.

Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center

Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center (SMMHC), a JCAHO-accredited hospital, has one part-time SCP Evaluator position available. This position would be at the Sex Offender Rehabilitation and Treatment Services (SORTS) program, and the duties include, but are not limited to the following: annual court reporting, record reviews as part of evaluating the patient, direct patient contact for interviews/evaluations and contact with treatment providers to help evaluate risk, providing court testimony or preparing for testimony. Also, other duties as assigned may include supervision of others, committee membership, training sessions, etc. The candidates for these positions are required to be a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist. Specialized training is required, and can be provided to the selected candidates. Initial salary will vary from 50,000 annually depending on level of training and type of employment.

Position Overview

The quality control inspector position conducts receiving, in-process; and final inspections of parts and supplies used for manufacture of products, and works independently to help resolve quality issues. The quality control inspector must possess a trained eye for detail and must be reliable and committed to accuracy and thoroughness in the completion of their inspection tasks.

The successful candidate for this position will have previouw training and/or experience in quality control, metal fabrication, machining, drafting or engineering.


  • Measures products with measuring tape, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring maching (CMM), hardness testers, and other inspection gauges.
  • Inspects finished products, products being processed,incoming materials, parts, and assemblies, etc., for comformance to blueprints and specifications.
  • Checks randonmly selected samples, and verifies accuracy of documentation and previous measurements
  • Assembly and disassembly of components using hand and power tools
  • Works independently under general supervision
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
  • Keeps records and makes reports indicating results of inspections
  • Uses experience and judgment for establishing task priorities and accomplishing work.
  • May inspect work areas to detect unsafe conditions
  • Other duties as assigned


  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints that include mechanical, welding, and assembly drawings
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs and willing to learn manufacturing MRP software
  • Proficient in performing calculations using basic math and trigonometry functions
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Must be very detail oriented and willing to learn
  • Ability to operate(or willingness to learn)fork trucks and overhead cranes to moce parts and materials
  • Previous training or experience with portable CMM operation and programming is preferred but not required
  • NDT-PI (Penetrant inspection) and NDT-UT (Ultrasonic Testing) experience preferred but not required

Physical Demands:

The employee is required to stand and walk for long periods of time;climb or balance;and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move parts up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
