Shipping Clerk

Primary Responsibilities 

 Use of hand grinders 

 Use sand and rotoblast equipment 

 Light finish work, including cleaning and preparing parts for shipment 

 Packing 

 Safely operate forklifts 

 Calculate weight, volume, or cost of goods to be moved. 

 Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, dock receipts, or certificates of origin. 

 Determine transportation mode for product to be shipped. 

 Use Starship Program software to enter UPS and FedEx orders. 

 Receive packing lists and enter information into a computer database for inventory accuracy. 

 Clerical and plant duties such as filing, cycle counting, organizing, ordering supplies, and working with small part finishing. 

Requirements 

 High School diploma or equivalent required. 

 At least one year of prior experience in shipping is preferred. 

 Excellent organizational and time management skills. 

 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

 Strong attention to detail 

 The ability to multi-task, or handle multiple tasks simultaneously 

 Must have the ability to work 40 hours a week as scheduled and maintain a punctual, reliable attendance record – schedule will be Tuesday-Friday 6:00am-4:30pm 

Physical Demands 

 Moderate to heavy physical effort required 

 Must be able to safely lift items weighing up to 50 pounds a regular basis

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Requirements: 

2 years automotive repair experience OR certification from a technical or vocational program in Heavy Equipment, Diesel or Automotive Technology required. 

Experience in diagnosing equipment utilizing laptop computers, gauges, and instruments in all machine systems: 

electronics, hydraulics, power train, engines, and general machine performance is expected.  

Knowledge of basic tools and tool usage required; basic welding skills preferred 

Must have the ability to work 40 hours a week and maintain a punctual, reliable attendance record

Industrial Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:

• Performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex production equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical)

• Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve efficiency, capability and yield

• Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance)

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses the more complex equipment problems

• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

• Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures

• Works independently under general supervision.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required

• Must have a strong mechanical aptitude

• A minimum of five (5) years of closely related experience is required, including experience with industrial electricity

• Formal training in industrial electricity or maintenance, or a closely related field, is preferred.

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision is necessary

• Must be very detail oriented and willing to learn

• Must have the ability to work a minimum of 40 hours weekly as scheduled and maintain a punctual, reliable attendance record

Physical Demands:

Metal Fabricator - 1st and 2nd shift positions available.

Position Overview: Good Earth Tools is looking for an experienced, energetic, self-motivated individual with metal fabricating experience to join our team! The requirements and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsibilities:  Fabricate, assemble, and weld metal products, specified by work orders, diagrams, and templates by using different welding applications.  Operate fabrication shop machinery and equipment by reading job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements per the routing and material list.  Understand and safely operate fabricating machines by following instructions and adhering to all safety policies and procedures.  Preheats parts, using hand torch, burner and induction heater by following heating procedures and specifications.  Works with engineering department to troubleshoots part fit and assembly process by adjusting materials and print specifications in order to fabricate final product.  Observe proper machine operation to detect part defects or machine malfunction based on company standards and procedures.  Inspects first part for quality, accuracy, and functionality by checking product specifications based on following guidelines of shop floor order print/instructions. Requirements  High School diploma or equivalent is required  A minimum of two (2) years of metal fabrication experience preferred, or proof of welding certification for entry level position  Must be able to interpret drawings to cut, notch, fit, and weld materials to proper specifications  Day shift must be able to work 4 10 hour shifts, 6:00am - 4:30pm  2nd shift must be able to work 10 hour shifts Monday – Thursday, 4:30pm – 3:00am  Must have the ability to work 40 hours a week and maintain a punctual, reliable attendance record.
