County Could Get New Election Equipment

(St. Francois County, MO) St. Francois County officials are discussing the possibility of purchasing new election polling place equipment. The idea was discussed with county commissioners after a report from County Clerk, Kevin Engler. The Presiding Commissioner of St. Francois County, Harold Gallaher, says now they have to print enough ballots, at each election, for every possible voter that comes to cast a ballot and it's a colossal expense.

Gallaher explains if they get the new system, you wouldn't be tied to a specific polling place to vote. The equipment will print out a location specific ballot no matter what precinct in which you vote and it will only print the amount needed. The new equipment could drastically cut down on printing and shredding costs.
