Escaped Inmates Back in Custody

(Farmington, MO) Two inmates of the St. Francois County Jail, who had escaped early Monday morning are back in custody. St. Francois County Sheriff, Dan Bullock, says they were a 211 and a 31 year old man. Bullock adds they escaped through a toilet sink unit by taking it loose and getting out through the plumbing chase.

According to Bullock the two escapees set off an alarm at a building in the industrial area of Farmington near the jail. Bullock explains they were apprehended through the cooperative efforts of his deputies and Farmington police. The two were being held on suspected charges dealing with a murder investigation. The escape took place around 1 o'clock Monday morning and the pair were captured by 3 am and back in a cell. Charges related to the escape are pending.
