(Washington County, MO) An area man is dead following a motorcycle accident in Washington County. The Highway Patrol says it happened just after 12:30 am Monday on highway 21 at Woodhaven Road. That's where 46 year old Darrell Smith was headed north, when he failed to negotiate a right curve and went off the left side of the road before hitting a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Washington County Corner. He was not wearing his safety device at the time of the wreck.
