Name of Fire Victim Released

(Jefferson County, MO) Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak is announcing the identification of the victim of a deadly house fire that happened last week on West Lakewood Drive near Fenton. The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the victim is 75 year old Carol Soppeland. She was found inside the home by firefighters. An official cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office. Early indications are the cause is not suspicious or criminal.
