Perryville Abduction Information Appears False

(Perryville, MO.) Perryville Police say information concerning an alleged attempted abduction of an 11 year old girl Tuesday morning in Perryville is false. A post on the Perryville Police Department facebook page reports an adult female contacted police to say she was the person who gave the girl a ride back to the child's house Tuesday morning in her car which matched the description given to officers. The girl was not picked up by a man she didn't know. The post goes on to show police interviewed the girl again and that's when she admitted to giving false information to the authorities. Reports show the girl said she didn't want to go against the information her sister had given their father and policemen. Even though the latest report is false, the October 24th incident of an alleged attempted abduction, in Perryville, is valid and is still an active case. Perryville Police say if you have any information on the incident from October, contact Detective Jordan Bain at 573-547-4546. in that attempt it's said a middle aged white male, nearly bald with missing teeth, and am unknown tattoo on his left hand was driving an older model silver car when he tried to allegedly kidnap someone.
