Recreational Marijuana on November Ballot

(Jefferson City, MO) Missouri residents will vote on whether or not to legalize recreational marijuana during the November elections. Voters will decide if they want the Missouri State Constitution to be amended removing prohibitions on purchasing, consuming, processing, delivering, using, selling, and manufacturing marijuana for personal consumption. Those who have marijuana related non violent offenses could petition for release from prison or jail, and the erasure of the related criminal record. Recreational marijuana is legal in 19 states with only four states keeping it completely illegal. Enough signatures were gathered during an initiative petition drive to get the measure on the ballot.
