Neus Guasch Sikes

Neus Guasch Sikes, age 65, of Collierville, TN, passed away unexpectedly on August 21st, 2025, while carrying for her mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Sikes, accompanied by her devoted husband, Stanley (Stan) Sikes, in Fredericktown, Missouri. Born on June 15th, 1960, in Barcelona, Spain to Josep Guasch Bonet and Francisca Torres Juan, Neus grew up with a deep love for family and a lifelong commitment to caring for others. She was a stay-at-home Mom until her boys were in school and a supportive Navy wife. She also volunteered as a counselor at the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society at the Philadelphia Naval Base. Once her boys were older, Neus was a part time Sales Representative with J.C. Penny. Two years later she began pursuing an Associate of Applied Science in Business and Commerce, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Southwest Tennessee Community College (SWTCC) in Memphis, TN. While attending SWTCC, she worked in the Business Studies Department and was a Student Ambassador. Upon graduation, she was employed by SWTCC as a Coordinator of Website Content in the Webmaster’s Office, where she served for seven years. She later accepted a position at the Assisi Foundation of Memphis as Operations Manager, where she worked for seven years before resigning to accompany Stan during a 25-month construction project in Mexico. Shortly after starting her role at Assisi, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Union University in Jackson, TN. In her later years, Neus devoted herself to caring for her parents, her mother-in-law, and her grandsons, a role she embraced with the same dedication she brought to every chapter of her life. More than her accomplishments, Neus was known for the way she lived her life, always putting others first, loving those around her, and offering her unique strength and loyalty in times of need. She found joy in helping and serving those around her, and she treasured every opportunity for fellowship with family and friends. Neus and Stan shared a partnership built on love, loyalty, and mutual service. Through every move, challenge, and new chapter, she brought resilience and warmth, ensuring their family thrived no matter where life took them. As a mother, Neus was both anchor and guide, offering unwavering wisdom to her sons, Dustin, Michael, and Alexander, and celebrating each of them with immense pride. In addition to her sons, her daughters-in-law Scarlett, Jennifer, and Stephanie, as well as her grandchildren Sullivan, Everett, Emric, Dreyton, Kaius, and two more grandchildren expected in January, brought her endless pride and happiness. She especially loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports and never missed their school and church programs. In addition to the love she provided her family, Neus had a big heart for animals. Her last three dogs were rescues, two of which, Libby and Charlie, survive her. In her free time, she enjoyed weekends at the lake, tomato and flower gardening, book club, and game night with her neighbors. Neus is survived by her loving husband, Stan; her sister, Josefa (Pepi) Guasch Torres; her brother, Jose Antonio Guasch Torres; her children and their spouses, Dustin (Scarlett), Michael (Jennifer), and Alexander (Stephanie); and her cherished grandchildren, Sullivan, Everett, Emric, Dreyton, Kaius, and two more eagerly anticipated. She was preceded in death by her parents, Josep Guasch Bonet and Francisca Torres Juan. A service celebrating her life will be held on September 27th at the Advent Presbyterian Church in Cordova, TN. Visitation will begin at 2pm, followed by the service at 3pm. Flowers may be sent to Advent Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude, Wounded Warriors, or Tunnels to Towers. To honor her legacy, the family also invites you to share how Neus touched your life on the family’s memorial page at www.kudoboard.com/boards/6PNY1iep Her kindness, faith, and devotion to family will remain an inspiration to all who knew her.
