Ranny Jay George was born on March 25, 1954, in Danville, Arkansas, to Elton and Daisy George. Ranny had a generous heart of gold and always shared the love of God with a smile. He was very creative and enjoyed art, carpentry, and fishing. Ranny was proud of his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He passed away on February 22, 2026 at home surrounded by family after battling esophagus cancer, having reached the age of 71. He was preceded in death by his parents Elton George and Daisy George, as well as his twin brother Lanny George.
Ranny is survived by:
Son: Samuel Eugene George and his wife Melissa
Daughters: Rana Marie Jacob and Rachel Kaye Robeson and her husband Christopher
Brother: Johnny George
Sisters: June, Kathleen, and Suzie
Grandchildren: Trent, Brett, Savannah, Isela, and Malachi
Many friends and family also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10am on Saturday March 21, 2026, at the Mount George Church of Christ. 10029 Mount George Lane, Danville, AR 72833. Followed by a reception of his one of his favorites, donuts and coffee! Ranny's ashes will be buried next to his twin brother, Lanny, at the Mt. George Cemetery in Mt. George, Arkansas.
