Shirley Jean “Midge” Hulsey (nee Revelle) of Park Hills, MO, was born on April 11, 1936 in Elvins, MO and passed peacefully on April 17, 2026 at Ozark Manor in Fredericktown, MO. She recently celebrated a happy 90th birthday with family and smiles for all.
Midge was the last surviving and youngest of nine children to the late Marvin and Vergie Revelle (nee Swofford). She was preceded in death by her five brothers: Wiley, Willard, Frank, Raymond and Charles Revelle: and three sisters: Olivia Montgomery, Rosetta Price, and Helen Lee.
Midge, as she was known by friends and family, survived by, and was a loving wife to, Floyd R. Hulsey for 71 years. She was a loving mother to R. David Hulsey (Chris) and Lisa Francis (Rob), grandmother to Adam Hulsey, Ellen Dennis (David), Hanna Nettesheim (Jay), Paige Hulsey, and Sara Bradley (Trevor). She was a proud great-grandmother to Alleyson and Loralie Hulsey, and to Brooklyn, Asher, and Lily Nettesheim. She had many loved nieces and nephews. Her family was her greatest joy.
Midge will be remembered for always being “Fine” when asked how she was doing. She enjoyed watching Blues hockey, Cardinals baseball, and her favorite drink, Pepsi. She will be remembered for her annual gift of Christmas socks.
Special appreciation to staff at BJC Hospice, Ozark Manor, and Visiting Angels for caring for Midge during her life’s journey. Everyone she met knew the kind and caring soul her smiles showed.
Visitation and services will be held Tuesday April 21, 2026 at Horton and Wampler Funeral Home 1 Federal Park Ave., Park Hills, MO. from 10:30 A.M. to time of service at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Kevin Miller. Gravesite will be at Leadwood Cemetery immediately following services.
