Stephen went home to the Lord on December 1, 2025 at Parkland Hospital in Farmington, Mo. at the age of 81. Stephen was a veteran of both the Navy and the Army with a total of 26 years of service. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bonne Terre, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents Willard and Thelma Rhodes and also a brother David
Rhodes.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Whaley-Rhodes, a stepson Rick Whaley, a granddaughter Breanna Whaley, a step Granddaughter Annemarie Goerisch and a stepson Austin Goerisch. He is also survived by two brothers Greg (Diane) Rhodes and Charles (Karen) Rhodes. He is also survived by his golf buddy and good good friend Bob Scott.
Visitation Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home, 1 Federal Park Ave., Park Hills, M0. 63601.
Service Friday December 5, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 15 St Joseph St., Bonne Terre, MO 63628.
Interment at Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery, Park Hills, Mo.
