Violet Weir

Violet Mary Lorraine Weir, of Ironton, Missouri, was born on February 12, 1940, in Frankclay, Missouri.

Violet loved the Lord, and she loved to sing and dance to anything that was a tune. She was hardworking, she had a job from the time she was old enough to work, until she retired fully in her 70's. She did this, all while raising her children and taking care of her household. Violet was an excellent mom and grandma. She always had all the time in the world for her family. Even though she may have been exhausted, you could never tell it. She worked at the Brown Shoe Company for 26 years. Violet loved being outdoors, camping, and riding 4 wheelers with family and friends. She was a great cook and helped a couple of times feed the kids out at Camp Inspiration. She told us just the other day, " If you're gonna cook something, you gotta make it right." Violet had a green thumb too. She loved flower gardens, and growing house plants. She could grow just about anything from nothing and make it beautiful. She loved the color purple, which was fitting since her name was Violet, and she was born in February which made her birthstone Amethyst.

Violet passed away on April 6, 2026, having reached the age 86. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Lorene Lawson, two children Gary Lynn Eye and Anthony Glen Eye, one granddaughter Chrstina Hope Hood, nine siblings Joseph (Jr) Lawson, Bobby Lawson, Mike Lawson, Gloria Barron, Linda Prather, Barbara Wilcut, Peggy Kohut, Terry Lawson, and Danny Lee Lawson.
