Business Owner Decides to Campaign for Office

(St. Francois County, MO.) The Owner of Sam Scism Ford, Kent Scism, is announcing a run for the Missouri State Senate. Scism, who's running as a Republican, has a facebook page and a website declaring the campaign. In a statement on the facebook page Scism says he wants to cut red tape for small business owners, fight the opioid crisis, support state and local law enforcement, promote farmers’ and agriculture interests, and ensure quality education for Missourians. Scism, who is a life long resident of St. Francois County, also says he's pro life and supports gun rights for citizens. Scism is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University and a member of the Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce as well as Director of the National Auto Dealer's Association for Missouri. He is also a life long member of the N.R.A. and a past Chairman and President of The Missouri Auto Dealer's Association.
