COVID Cases In St Francois County Update

(St. Francois County, MO.) A public health alert is being issued by the St. Francois County Health Department. At issue is a possible community exposure that may have taken place at the Park Hills Fireworks event July 4th. Officials say the concern comes over possible exposure that might have occurred in the snow cone line from about 8 to 8:30 that evening. If you were in the line you're being asked to watch for signs of covid 19 through July 18th. If you do become ill you're asked to self quarantine and seek medical advice from your healthcare provider.
A total of 174 cases of COVID19 are now reported since March 22 in St Francois County. Cases are reported by hospitals, doctors, labs, and other healthcare entities. There are currently 12 active cases of COVID-19 in the county; 3 of which are associated with prison outbreaks.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and the Missouri National Guard are conducting a drive through COVID-19 community testing event for Missouri residents at Mineral Area College, Student Lot F tomorrow. Registration for that event is full.
