Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Rotary Club announced a $1,000 donation to the East Missouri Action Agency (EMAA) and Park Hills Long Term Recovery Committee (LTRC) on Monday to assist those impacted by flooding in the Elvins area.
The Rotary Club posted to their social platforms a challenge to the community to raise a goal of $10,000 in an effort to help those affected. According to the post, Park Hills City Administrator Zachary Franklin reached out to the Rotary with a list of unaddressed needs that includes unlivable homes, broken HVAC systems, structural damages, and severe mold.
Because there was no official disaster declaration made by Missouri Legislators, citizens have received zero financial assistance. Contact the East Missouri Action Agency for more information on donating.
All monies raised will be given to EMAA and Park Hills LTRC to go toward restoring homes and lives.
