Friday Pursuit With Wreck and Charges

(St. Francois County, MO.) A man from Pevely, 42 year old Olin W. Bay, is being charged with driving while intoxicated after suffering moderate injuries when he ran his pick up off Highway 32 in St. Francois County, west of Park HIlls, early last Friday morning. The accident took place just before 5:30. According to reports from Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Bay was being pursued by police when he lost control of his truck. It ran off the right side of the road, struck a sign, ran across old Bismarck Road, over a ditch, struck an embankment, rolled over, and crashed into four parked cars in the lot of Sweeney Auto Salvage. Bay was taken to Parkland Health Center in Farmington. He was not wearing his seat belt when the wreck took place.
