Good Samaritan Helps Save Man from Fire

(Farmington, MO) A man is suffering serious injuries from burns he received in an apartment fire Saturday evening in Farmington in the 200 block of Trimfoot Terrace. Farmington Fire Chief Todd Mecey says they were called out at 7:11. According to Mecey a Farmington Policeman, who was first on the scene, witnessed a good samaritan pulling a burning couch, that had the victim trapped, out of the front door of the apartment.

After he was rescued the burn victim was transported to the burn unit at a St. Louis Hospital. Mecey explains although his injuries are serious they aren't expected to be life threatening. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshall's Office.
