K9 Alerts Officers in Traffic Stop

(Madison County, MO) Officers with the Fredericktown Police Department are praising their K9 dog after a traffic stop on Monday. According to the department, officer Zack Boyer and K9 Balt were requested by the Madison County Sheriffs Department to assist with a traffic stop. Deputy Brandon Wheeler suspected illegal drug activity and requested the K9 team to do a free air sniff of the vehicle. Officer Boyer deployed K9 Balt and he alerted on the vehicle. A search was conducted and multiple clear baggies with a crystal like substance were located inside. The evidence was turned over to the sheriffs department for their investigation.
