Local 4-H And FFA Members Showcasing Projects At Fair

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Fair begins Thursday, July 30 at the St. Francois County Fairgrounds located off Highway 67 in Farmington.

Area youth involved in 4-H and FFA programs will have the opportunity to showcase projects they have spent months preparing, including livestock, agricultural projects, and other entries that will be featured during the Junior Sale of Champions.

Members of the Wild Bunch 4-H Club of St. Francois County will be among those participating. Club member Erin King says she is excited to have the chance to display the work she has put into her projects.

Farmington FFA Chapter member and Wild Bunch 4-H Club member Stephen Berghaus is also preparing entries for the fair. He says his project includes cured ham and cured bacon.

The Junior Sale of Champions is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday evening. A buyer social event will begin at 5 p.m. before the sale.

The St. Francois County Fair continues through the weekend with livestock shows, entertainment, activities, and events for the entire family.
