Man Arrested after Fatal Traffic Accident

(Farmington, MO) According to an arrest report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol a Farmington man, 27 year old Richard W. Sorbie, is arrested for driving while intoxicated involving the death of another in connection to a fatal traffic accident Sunday morning in St. Francois County. Highway Patrol traffic accident reports concerning the crash show a man from Farmington, 69 year old James E. Pashia, died around 6 am as he was driving his car south on Highway OO, south of Bridge HO500. Sorbie was driving an SUV north as it crossed over the center of the road and crashed head on into Pashia's car. Sorbie, who was seriously injured, was flown to Mercy Hospital South St. Louis. Pashia died at the scene. No further information or possible court dates are available yet.
