One Seriously Injured in Washington County Crash on Highway 21

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - One person was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Washington County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 1:58 p.m. on northbound Missouri Route 21, north of Tindall Road. Troopers say a 2022 Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 23-year-old man from Potosi traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, overturned, and then hit a guy wire and a tree. 

The driver, who was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash, suffered serious injuries. He was transported by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
