Park Hills Fire Rescue Update

(Park HIlls, MO.) A mother and child are safe after a fire at their Park Hills Home Wednesday morning. According to reports a fire outside a basement garage at a home in the 600 block of Buckley Street had started between 9 and 10 am. When Park Hills Police Officer Matthew Yetman arrived he found a woman at the top of the stairs near the back of the house. While helping her to safety shoe told him her child was inside. Yetman then found the child and guided them out. Park Hills City Administrator, Mark McFarland, says they have an excellent police force and fire department in Park HIlls and city officials are proud of all their efforts.

The small fire was quickly brought under control quickly and the cause is unknown. No officers or fire fighters were injured during the blaze. Several fire departments assisted the Park HIlls Fire Department including Farmington, Desloge, Leadwood, Leadington, and Bonne Terre Big River.
