Pilot Knob Home Destroyed in Fire

(Pilot Knob, Mo) A home in Pilot Knob was destroyed by a fire Monday.

At 12:46 p.m., the Pilot Knob Fire Protection District was dispatched to a report of a residential structure fire in the 100 block of Lake Drive in the Snow Hollow Lake area. Upon arrival, units found an approximately 1,200-square-foot residence well involved. With the location of this fire in the nearby vicinity of Snow Hollow Lake, fire personnel were able to utilize the lake as a water source for the fire.

The fire was brought under control in approximately 40 minutes. No injuries were reported on the scene.

The Pilot Knob Fire Protection District was assisted by Arcadia, Bismarck, Doe Run, Farmington, Wolf Creek, Caledonia, Fredericktown and Potosi Fire Departments.
