Roundtable for School At White House

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - A roundtable discussion at the White House to discuss reopening schools this Fall across the nation, has garnered a lot of attention.  Second Lady Karen Pence, who teaches at a Washington DC school 2-3 days a week says reopening schools is paramount to a child's health and well being that goes far beyond COVID-19.

The only governor at the round table discussion was Missouri Governor Mike Parson.  Governor Parson echoed the comments made by Mrs Pence and added a few additional comments of his own to the discussion.

Representatives from multiple different backgrounds within the health profession, education profession, state and local entities, and politicians all sat together and held discussions on how to safely open schools and make sure the kids and teachers are protected as best as possible from the virus, but trying to get things back to normal as much as possible.  Meanwhile, St Francois County Health Center announced nine additional cases of the virus, bringing the total to 165.  All but 4 active cases at the moment are associated with either the Bonne Terre Prison or Farmington Prison.
