St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Commission has raised the county's real estate tax levy by 2 cents, from $0.0218 to $0.0401, to start in 2026.
The raise is a small one, but it is set by the state of Missouri. County Commissioner David Kater explains how the tax levy works.
For example, a home valued at $100,000 would cost $4.14 per year under the current tax levy. Under the proposed changes, that amount would increase to $7.87.
