Suspected Bank Robber Arrested After Cedar Hill Robbery

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Hillsboro man is in custody following a reported bank robbery investigation in Jefferson County.

Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak announced the arrest of 39-year-old William Balon Jr. in connection with a bank robbery reported Friday, May 15, 2026, in Cedar Hill.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Balon Jr. has been charged with one count of first-degree robbery. Investigators quickly identified him as a suspect and worked to track down his location following the incident.

Authorities say Balon Jr. was taken into custody in De Soto without incident. He is currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
