St Joe State Park Open House

(St. Francois County, MO) The Missouri State Parks are holding open houses and town halls across the state, in an effort to open conversation with all those who utilize the parks.  Saturday’s meeting at St Joe State Park off Highway 32 was attended by local residents with questions and suggestions on how to improve trail usage and signage, as well as things like possible food sources for the public areas of the park. Park Superintendent Carrie Lykins says that it is a combined park with the Missouri Mines St Joe Park, and the feedback is essential.

You're also invited to attend informational meetings coming up in October for two popular state Parks, and a historic site, in the region. You're invited to provide input and comments and to ask questions about the park and its operations. Elephant Rocks State Park and Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Site will host a joint town hall meeting at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Main Shelter at Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Site.
