STIP Outline Announced For MODot Projects Through June 2031

Jefferson City, Mo. (KFMO) - The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has approved the Fiscal Year 2027-2031 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), establishing the state's transportation project schedule for the next five years.

The plan includes projects proposed by the Missouri Department of Transportation along with state and regional planning agencies. The approved STIP covers projects scheduled between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2031 and serves as MoDOT's blueprint for transportation improvements statewide.

Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer Corbin Carlton says the program provides a long-range outline of how transportation funding will be invested over the next five years.

Carlton also noted that public feedback is an important part of the planning process, with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission considering comments received before finalizing the improvement program.

The Statewide Transportation Improvement Program includes highway, bridge and other transportation projects planned throughout Missouri. A complete list of projects included in the FY 2027-2031 STIP is available on the Missouri Department of Transportation's website.
