Turner Dies At 78

(Park HIlls, MO.) The Owner Operator of Turner Chevrolet Cadillac in Park Hills, Joe Turner, is dead after battling health problems for the last few years. Turner died Monday surrounded by family and friends. Turners son in law, Chris Williams, is the General Manager of Turner's Chevrolet Cadillac. He says Joe Turner was well known and loved in the community. Williams explains he thought the world of Joe Turner.

Turner Chevrolet Cadillac will be closed Friday so employees, and others, will have a chance to attend the funeral. The business will be back open Saturday morning. Turner's father Harold Turner purchased the dealership in Park HIlls in 1949 and Joe Turner started working in the business in 1962. Turner was a member of the Belgrade State Bank Board of Directors, St. Francois County Board for the Developmentally disabled, and the Parkland Health Center Board of Directors. He was also a member of the United Methodist Church of Desloge and many other civic groups. Visitation for Joe Turner will be held Thursday from 3 to 9 P.M. at the C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home of Desloge. Funeral services for Joe Turner are set for 10:30 Friday morning at the C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Chapel of Desloge.
