Wrong Way Driver in Jefferson County Accident

(Jefferson County, MO) A man from Belleville, Illinois, 75 year old Terry Kroenig, is suffering from serious injuries he sustained in a 2 car crash in Jefferson County Tuesday afternoon. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol it happened shortly after 4 o'clock on Route Z, east of Mapaville Hematite Road. Kroenig drove into oncoming traffic and hit a pickup truck being driven by 59 year old Jay Wolk, of Festus, head on. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident. Wolk suffered minor injuries. Both men were taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson.
