Washington, D.C. (KFMO) - Missourians recovering from this year’s severe storms and flooding will have extra time to meet federal tax deadlines.
The IRS has extended filing and payment dates to March 30, 2026, for individuals and businesses in 29 counties hit by spring tornadoes, straight-line winds, and flooding. The extension applies to income tax returns, business filings, estimated payments, payroll and excise tax deposits, and certain retirement and savings contributions.
Federal officials say the move is intended to ease financial pressure on residents still dealing with long-term storm recovery.
