54-Year-Old Woman Injured in Washington County Crash

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 54-year-old Richwood woman was injured Tuesday afternoon after her SUV left Route A and overturned in Washington County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash happened at approximately 12:37 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, on westbound Route A, east of Havenrest Road. 

According to the crash report, the woman was driving a 2007 Ford Edge westbound when the vehicle began to skid. The SUV crossed the center of the roadway before traveling off the left side of the road. The Ford Edge struck an embankment and overturned before coming to rest off the south side of the road, facing south.

The driver, a 54-year-old woman from Richwood, suffered moderate injuries in the crash. The report indicates she was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. She was transported to Washington County Memorial Hospital by the Washington County Ambulance District.

The Ford Edge was declared a total loss and was towed from the scene.
