Body Scanner Dependent on Grant

(Farmington, MO) A full body scanning device could be installed in the St. Francois County Jail soon. The Presiding Commissioner of St. Francois County, Harold Gallaher, says the purchase of the scanner hinges on whether or not the county gets a grant to cover the expense.

The grant application for the scanner was approved at this week's St. Francois County Commission meeting. In other business at the meeting commissioners approved an engineering contract for more work on Owl Creek Park and a new bridge for King's Road near Bismarck.
