Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - The Bonne Terre Chamber Foundation is helping invest in local community projects with the launch of a new grant program.
On Wednesday morning, the foundation presented a $5,000 matching grant to the American Fire Engine Museum in Bonne Terre. The funding is intended to support the museum's continued growth and its investment in the local community.
Foundation President Matt Crabtree says the grant program is a new initiative created by the Bonne Terre Chamber Foundation to provide financial assistance for qualifying community improvement projects.
Crabtree explained that the program operates as a reimbursement grant, meaning recipients must first complete approved expenditures before receiving grant funds.
The American Fire Engine Museum is the first recipient of the new matching grant program, receiving $5,000 to assist with its ongoing efforts.
The Bonne Terre Chamber Foundation says applications are now being accepted for the next round of grant funding from eligible organizations seeking assistance with community-focused projects.
