St. Francois Co., Mo. ( KFMO) - A Bonne Terre man was moderately injured early Wednesday morning in a crash on Route E in St. Francois County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 6 a.m. north of Pine Creek Road. Troopers say a 32-year-old man was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu northbound when he was traveling too fast for road conditions, causing the vehicle to lose control, slide off the right side of the roadway, and strike a sign before hitting a tree.
The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson with moderate injuries. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
