Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - The Bonne Terre Police Department is expressing its gratitude to James and Nikki Fields of Emergency & Safety Trainers LLC for donating 16 tactical bleeding control kits that will be assigned to individual officers throughout the department.
The donation ensures that every Bonne Terre police officer will have immediate access to life-saving medical equipment while responding to emergencies and critical incidents.
James and Nikki Fields, who are residents of Bonne Terre, recognized the need for additional emergency medical resources for local law enforcement and stepped forward to provide the equipment. Police officials say the donation highlights the importance of strong community partnerships and demonstrates local support for public safety personnel.
Bonne Terre Police Chief Jasen Crump emphasized the significance of the donation and the impact the kits could have during emergencies.
"Having a personal bleeding control kit assigned to each officer provides immediate access to critical life-saving tools during emergencies," Crump said. "These kits are not only intended to protect our officers but also give them the ability to provide rapid medical care to victims of serious injuries before EMS personnel arrive. In situations involving traumatic injuries, severe vehicle accidents, or active threats, seconds matter."
Crump added that the equipment can make the difference between life and death and said the department is extremely thankful to James and Nikki Fields and Emergency & Safety Trainers LLC for making the donation possible.
The Bonne Terre Police Department says community partnerships such as this help strengthen public safety efforts and enhance the department's ability to serve residents. Officials also expressed appreciation for the continued support shown by community members who invest in the safety and well-being of both officers and citizens.
