Cadet Man Found Hiding Beneath Floor, Arrested on Multiple Charges

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Cadet man was taken into custody Tuesday morning after authorities discovered him hiding beneath the floor of an outbuilding.

32-year-old Cory A. Tedder was arrested at 8:16 a.m. February 11 in Washington County by the Missouri State Highway PatroL. Earlier in the morning, members of the Relentless Pursuit Task Force, the U.S. Marshals Service, and deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office developed information indicating Tedder was staying at a residence in Cadet. Deputies were able to visually confirm his presence at the location.

During a search of an outbuilding on the property, authorities located Tedder concealed in a makeshift hiding area beneath the floor. The space was reportedly accessed through a trap door. He was taken into custody without incident.

Tedder is facing multiple charges in St. Francois County, including burglary, property damage, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to register a vehicle, no driver’s license, no insurance, and failure to wear a safety belt.

He is also facing numerous charges from the Bonne Terre Police Department, including defective equipment, possession of drug paraphernalia, property damage, trespass, littering, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, assault, failure to register a vehicle, miscellaneous hazardous vehicular conditions, equipment violations, driving while revoked or suspended, no insurance, disorderly conduct, no license, and a parking violation. Tedder is being held in the St. Francois County Jail.
