Cedar Hill Man Charged in Dittmer Shooting Outside Holeshots Saloon

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 24-year-old Cedar Hill man is facing multiple felony charges following a shooting outside a Dittmer business late last week.

Christopher Masson is charged with two counts of First-Degree Assault and two counts of Armed Criminal Action in connection with the incident outside Holeshots Saloon. According to investigators, the shooting occurred shortly before midnight on December 12, 2025. Authorities say Masson was involved in a verbal altercation with two men while inside the business. The individuals later went outside, where Masson allegedly retrieved a firearm from a vehicle and shot both men.

The victims, a 53-year-old man from Dittmer and a 30-year-old man from Cedar Hill, were transported to area hospitals for treatment. As of the latest update, both remain in critical but stable condition.

Masson was taken into custody at the scene and later booked into the Jefferson County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
