Crawford Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Leasburg man in connection with an investigation involving alleged sexual misconduct with a child under the age of 15.
According to the sheriff’s office, 57-year-old Timothy Helmig of Leasburg was arrested on February 4, 2026, on an active warrant related to the charge. The arrest was made by a deputy assigned to Operation Relentless Pursuit. Sheriff’s officials say crimes involving the exploitation or abuse of children are taken with the utmost seriousness. The office says it remains committed to protecting the most vulnerable members of the community and will continue to pursue investigations of this nature thoroughly.
