Death Row Inmate Dies at Potosi Correctional Center

Mineral Point, Mo. (KFMO) - The Missouri Department of Corrections reports that resident William Boliek was pronounced dead at 5:42 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Potosi Correctional Center in Mineral Point.

Boliek was 70 years old and was serving a death sentence for a capital murder conviction out of Camden County. He was also serving a sentence for possession of a prohibited article stemming from Washington County.

According to the Department of Corrections, Boliek was received into the Missouri prison system on Dec. 12, 1984.

The Missouri Department of Corrections says an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
